Can you scoot down a little more?

I am overdue to go to the "lady" doctor for my annual check-up.

Truth be told, I am about 2 years overdue.
And last time I went, a certain test came back pre-cancerous.
Also, I was riding the line for a thyroid disorder.

Honestly though...one of the "symptoms" of thyroid disorder is "rapid weight loss."
What person in their right mind is going to make an appointment and go into the doctor to FIX THAT?
Really?
"Hey, Doc...I guess you should know, even with my diet of Cadbury Mini-Eggs and Batter Fried sticks of butter, the weight keeps melting off...I am worried..."

I don't have that symptom.

I get that I need to go in.
But I still don't want to.
Even after five children, and roughly 513 medical personnel seeing my bits, it still just makes me shudder.

With my newly unemployed status, I am trying to get myself organized.
Taking care of business!
Cleaning ovens!
Purging closets!
Checking things off THE LIST!
It is on my list to make that call.

Too bad they are closed until Monday.
Tee-hee...

i was about 4 years overdue for that visit! lol! finally forced myself to go last month. it was the most traumatizing 4 minutes of my life ... i still shudder just thinking about it. then they tried to get me to go for the dreaded mammogram thing ... "if you go now, you won't have to go again until you're 40 years old". what the heck? i'll be 40 in a year ... so i figure i'll just wait to take care of that. lol!

I am due for that appointment myself. The last one of mine came back suspicious so I had to go have another one. I sat in the waiting room for 2 hours. Once I was called back I waited nekkid for 45 more minutes. The whole time dreading what was about to happen. When the doc finally got around to me I was ALMOST too pissed off to care, but not quite. Good luck!

Ugh! I HATE those kind of visits. I mean, I guess it's better than death, but sheesh, let's get a little more invasive can we?

Hope that you can enjoy your unemployment, even if it means getting felt up.

They wanted to tell me I had cancer 20 years ago and I have been ignoring them ever since. People keep telling me you should go in and get that checked and I say why would I want to see someone who's speciality is disease not cure. I just stopped doing the things that made me feel sick and did just the opposite that will cure anything. When I looked at it, all those things that made me sick they were the things advertised the most on TV; some fool making money off of me while I got sick. Watch out when you see everyone going in the same direction like to MacDonald's or taking medication for thyroid disease they may be going over a cliff. I have seen people with multiple diseases as many as 5 taking 20 medications they always had thyroid problems and diabetes. I tell them you better change or one day you will wake up with someone changing your diapers; someone who normally you would never associate with. Here is some health food for thought. Did you know that thyroid disease is really a very rare disease and yet there is an epidemic (1 in 4 people) of it in America. The truth is that an autoimmune disease such as Hashimoto's or Graves disease probably (90%+) gave you your thyroid disease. Autoimmune diseases are very interesting, there are aprox 80 to 100 at this time with another 40 waiting for a name. Medical science cannot explain why and has not found a cure for even one. You can trigger one of them just by having an auto accident, taking aspirin or medicine, by starting a new exercise routine, or even stressing out says latest research. Naturopathic medicine says, "Look for the root cause. The cause is in the basics; beginning with what is on your fork, what toxins are in your body, what exercise do you do, what stress is in your life, what is your spiritual base". This month and every month approx 150 new chemicals that cause autoimmune diseases are released to industry with no government oversight control. Good luck Paul
