There is this new kid that moved into the neighborhood.
He is in ninth grade.
He came over to our house Thursday, after he and Jayden got off the bus together.
They played some Foosball in the basement.
I was in the kitchen on the computer...I hollered down and asked Jayden how school went.
New Friend came upstairs with Jayden to introduce himself.
That is when he said IT...
"Are you the sister or the Mom?"
I love that new kid.

Our best story ever is from when Greg's brother Joel and his wife were in town visiting. they had at least two kids already at the time.
Matt, Allan's friend, was over and asks Nikki (Joels wife) if she can come out and play with them. We all (and there were a ton of us) ROARED. Matt was all (he's got good humor) NO WAY, YOU'RE a MOM??!!!

I had a similar situation when two HS kids came to the door to sell stuff benefiting their baseball team. One of the boys asked me, "Is your mom or dad home?" LOL! I laughed. And bought some of what they were selling, of course.
HA!! You know he's only sucking up so he can drag Jayden in to his evil plan to take over the world, right? HA HA!
he would be my new BFF too! lol!
alyssa always tries to tell me that i'm NOT cool. i was picking her up from a birthday party a while back ... and made a few jokes to her friends like i always do. and then they said it ... "alyssa, your mom is so cool". and all the way home i gloated about that ... "your friends DO think i'm cool"! lol!
