With apologies to my male readers...

I need a new bra.

Truth be told. I only have one right now in working condition. The back-up-bra is in sad, sad shape. I hate bra shopping! You can try on 5,000 of the same size, and they all fit differently. There are the ones that squish you together and make you have a uni-boob, and on the opposite end of the spectrum, the kind that separate and place your girls one under each armpit.

Who picks the design? The fabrics... I mean, what good does that thick heavy lace crap do anyone? It is bulky and never looks good under anything. Detachable straps, and detachable push-up pads. Gel filled, water filled, racer back, shoulder pad added straps. And the ones adorned with cheesy flowers or dainty bows....please. Not one that is actually comfortable. Give me helium filled cups, and massaging straps and you would have yourself a bra.

I am not endowed. Which is fine, being the stomach sleeper that I am, but bra shopping is a nightmare. It seems, that to have the circumference I do, what with the coughcoughbackfatcough that I have, my cup size should be a whole lot larger than it really is. This makes the padded cup either dented in, or horribly sagging. Which leaves me the option of going a size smaller to get the right cup size, and therefore being cinched off....all the time.

No wonder I had gallstones.

oh I hate bra shopping! ugh. last time I went I finally found one I liked. one. I must have tried on fifteen. so when I needed more, I bought two more exactly like the first one. I did not try on more.

last week I just ordered some online. if they don't fit, I don't care, lol!

I am also not endowed, but this is what I learned (From Oprah of all people, and that was only through TwoPeas) anyway - get fitted. Go to a good department store (I go to Macy's) and have them measure you. They then bring you ones, buy one, and now you know your size.

Then, I buy Victoria's Secret ones.

Well, I have the opposite problem! And I finally found a bra that I LOVE!!! And to make it even better...they were on sale last week, and their website had a glitch with a coupon code that I had....so I got 8 bras for 31 dollars!!! They are originally 30 bucks a piece!!!

Sorry that you can't find one though! Take me to Disney with you and I will watch all the kiddos and you and Sam can go bra shopping!! ;)

OMG - this is so funny and true! And what about all the bold colored bras? Like you can wear those under a t-shirt - oh hello nice pink bra you have on there under your clothes...

YOu are sooooo right!!!
I am endowed and my back hurts all the time if I don't wear one...
I will give you some of mine if you pay for the Doc.
I wish there was a built in muscle to lift after having kids. just lift and pull to the height you want. LOL
I go to Victoria Secret they will measure you and their bras are top of the line. I only need to buy 1 per year.

I'm telling you...go to Dillard's, get someone to fit you, and buy the Wacoal petite bra. It is cut for those of us who aren't well endowed (me me me me me me!) but also aren't tiny in other spots (me again) and they are FABULOUS!!!
