Who decides on the Happy Meal toys?

Is it some dude's full time job to scout out this garbage?

Well that dude totally out-garbaged himself.
The toys right now are absolutely CRAPTASTIC!
Not only are they weird, but the "music" that they play (and I use the term "music" lightly)...it is a total assault on the eardrums. Nothing like a plastic amplified scratchy synthesizer beat box.
With three notes.
Looped.
OVER AND OVER AND OVER...

BLAT!
BLAT!
Brrrrrung!
Bada-bung!
BLAT!
BLAT!

They should give out earplugs in the adult meals with junk like this.

My kids were so lucky, they got country music guy. They even knew it was crap and left them in Mcdonalds on purpose. What kid does that??? I am so glad I didn't have to listen to that POS all the way home!!

LOL. Last time I had to do an emergency Mickey-D run for Happy Meals, Kaleb and I were in the drive-through line, and I said "oh, geez, look at those DUMB toys." When they handed us the H. M., he said "Mom! Where's my DUMB toy???" and then he promptly fell.in.love. It is his favorite thing ever and he wants to have it near him all the time. So, if nothing else I guess they are appealing to grumpy 2-year-olds!!!

LOL, you crack me up girl.

Codys too old for McD's toys and I gotta admit I miss that. As a matter of fact we have very few toys in the house now, some legos, a few can't get rid of stuffed animals, just sad, they grow up to fast.

...and that is precisely why you throw them away when the kids aren't looking. :)

I TOTALLY agree! I have thrown away 4 so far on the sly - the kids were scaring the crap out of me when they'd play one and I didn't know they were nearby.

total crap! in fact, my kids wont be eating french fries or chicken nuggets until they get something different. they are hideously annoying and of course savanah loves to play it over and over and over from the very back seat...which is too far to reach back, grab it and chuck it out the window.

Yikes! Who thought that would be a cool toy? That is why we don't do Happy Meals any more!!

they are kind of crazy ... we have a few of them laying around. but i have to say ... i have these 4 baskets in the playroom for the daycare kids that has nothing buy happy meal toys that we've collected over the last 10 years or so. lol! and they get a ton more use then anything else i have. just baskets filled with totally random toys that make weird noises and do funny things. lol!

I always think the same thing. Sometimes Cole doesn't even want them.
Thanks for the reminder last night. We got home with 5 min to spare. What did you think of it? It was pretty good. I always love Thursday nights.

Those are exactly the kind of things I chuck in the garbage when they're at school! The thing looks like it's got a bunch of grapes on it's head!

LOL! My girls got one of these and Shea rocks out when she hears it! :)

I agree with you! My little boy always wants me to turn it on (good thing he does not know how) and then he bobs his head like it is some good music, oh the things he needs to learn.
